Who Am I?
Currently, I'm a contributor to Women's Republic and a staff reporter for AGENCY LMU.
I am proud to be a part of Women's Republic. It is a collective of feminists from around the world who have come together to make the voices and experiences of womxn heard around the world. I usually focus on women in professional dance and the critical analysis of literature and culture. My current project for the collective is a guide to analyzing historical fiction, especially during the new civil rights movement we are all witnesses to.
At AGENCY, I report breaking news for LMU students, while also working on a few larger stories with the editorial team. I've been reporting on policy changes and university updates during the everchanging COVID-19 pandemic. The big story I'm currently working on is about the removal of a Junipero Serra statue at LMU. This story will gather opinions of students and faculty about the event and Serra's legacy, and explain what it means to have the statue removed.
Outside of my studies and my work, I am involved in different activities and initiatives. I am the president of Esperer Service Organization, a service organization that also advocates for human trafficking and environmental justice. I am also involved with religious ministries, and I serve as a head sacristan for LMU's Sunday and daily masses.
In my free time, I write! I have a taste for anime and Japanese mobile games, so sometimes I'll watch and play those. I also love taking walks outside and trying new restaurants. I also love learning about new cultures and places that wouldn't be familiar to an American like me. I hope to be able to travel abroad one day, but I'll have to wait a little longer to do any traveling.
Thank you for taking a look at my site, and I hope you'll support and follow me through my life trying to find a way to make a living with my writing.
